Chaplains Commission

Aguilas De Dios
Director: Dr. Alberto R. Arias
In 1978, the Chaplains Commission “came of age” and the Church of God began Endorsing Vocational Chaplains, which would include, Military, Hospital, Corrections, Clinical and other full-time positions. These Chaplains have continued a long and noble line of ministry activity. Serving without hesitation in areas, which many may consider “non traditional”.
The Chaplains Commission offices, located on the same Campus as the Pentecostal Theological Seminary, has a strong relationship with education and the desire to see Christ’s Gospel reach a world in need. The Chaplains Commission continues to offer educational and training opportunities in various disciplines, which would include crisis counseling, disaster response, domestic violence, substance abuse, and others.
In 1986 the Chaplains Commission developed a ministry program known as Community Service Chaplaincy. This ministry has grown from strength to strength and continues to have a world wide influence on pastors, leaders and the local church. The Community Service Chaplaincy offers a Certification of Training in a vast number of chaplaincy disciplines as well as acknowledging the tenure of ministry of each chaplain within the program.
